Our mission

Displacement changes where someone can build. It does not change what they are capable of building.

Refugee entrepreneurs often arrive in a new country with years of professional experience, knowledge of markets, and the ability to build and lead. But many of the things that make it easier to start again — local networks, access to capital, recognized credentials, and a financial track record — do not move with them.

That creates a gap between ability and opportunity.

Ventures Beyond Borders exists to close it. We work with founders over six months, giving them the network, training, and early capital to test what they are building. In the process, we get to know them in a way that a pitch deck or application cannot.

When the evidence is there, we invest.

Our goal

We want to transform the entrepreneurial potential of refugees by training a new generation of refugee founders, de-risking their companies through grants and investments, and ultimately enabling the long-term economic independence of refugee communities.
